Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) uses a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) via a 10-point grading scale. Your final percentage and class depend entirely on these grade points, not just raw marks.

Promotion Rules (Detention System)

Standard JNTUH promotion rules for B.Tech students:

1st Year → 2nd Year

Must secure at least 50% of total credits (approx 20 credits) of 1st year.

2nd Year → 3rd Year

Must secure at least 60% of total credits up to 2nd year 1st sem (varies by regulation).
